Nigeria’s senior team coach Jose Peseiro has said fans of the Nigerian senior team should minimize their expectations ahead of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers games against Guinea-Bissau.
The Super Eagles team are expecting to get a comfortable qualification for the tournament if they are able to win their home and away games against Guinea-Bissau set for the month of September.
Even though there are doubts concerning the game, and if it will be played as expected, due to the postponement of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations to 2024. However Peseiro is focused on the game until there is an official statement on it’s postponement.
Peseiro also stated that fans of the team shouldn’t expect another scoreline like the 10-0 win over Sao Tome and Principe in their last game, but still they will approach the game with the ambition of winning.
Peseiro also said “The winning mindset is the same but can’t say it will be the same scores like our last game. You can’t win 10-0 all the time and it’s why it was history when we did it. It doesn’t happen always. In September we want to win in our home.
