Ahoada youths have expressed dissatisfaction with the level of neglect and disdain meted on the youths of the area by Niger Delta Petroleum Resources (NDPR)at Ogbele oil field.
The youths in a statement made available by theportcitynews on Thursday, said that the local government area has been faced with youth restiveness in which so many youths have lost their lives and properties destroyed, adding that NDPR has treated youths in the area with levity and disdain as jobs meant for “qualified indegenous youths of Ahoada East LGA are given to their brothers and cronies from Lagos and sent down here to work in our local government area without giving recourse to our youths who are qualified and willing to work thereby widening the level of poverty in our area”

1. Moving of their headquarters from Lagos to Port Harcourt.
2.Massive employment of the indegens on their current refinery construction.
3. Training of our youths on oil related and non-oil field.
4. Direct employment of our youths who are qualified.
5. Empowering of our youths through contracts.
6. Failure to adhere will attract total mobilization of our youths to shot down their operations.
“We must put our hands on deck and save the soul of our youths before it gets beyond this.
“This body is giving the management of Niger Delta Petroleum Resources fourteen (14) days ultimatum start the immediate employment and empowerment of our or we shall use all legal means available to us”
