Court strikes out second murder charge against Amachree

A High Court sitting in Port Harcourt have struck out another murder charge against OJUKAYE FLAG-AMACHREE, the Rivers APC Chairman.

This is the second murder case against OJUKAYE FLAG-AMACHREE which the Rivers State government has dropped.

During the court proceedings, the prosecuting counsel, DAMILARE presented a Nolly Prosee from the Attorney General of the state which he said is drawn from 1999 Constitution and Rivers State Government Administration of Criminal procedure law.

The presiding judge, Justice CHIWENDU NWORGU struck out the matter based on the application made by the Attorney General ZACHEAUS ADANGO through the prosecuting counsel, ADEYEMI DAMILARE which was not opposed by any other counsel.

Speaking to journalist, prosecution counsel, ADEYEMI DAMILARE who stood in for a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, GODWIN OBLA said the state government has decided to forgive OJUKAYE FLAG-AMACHREE.

On his part, EMENIKE EBETE counsel to OJUKAYE FLAG-AMACHREE commended Governor NYESOM WIKE and expressed hope that the charge does not arise again in any form.

Speaking in an interview with our correspondent, brother and also counsel to the deceased Family, TUBOTAMUNO DICK, said he hopes that Governor Wike will at the same time compensate the family of the victim in other to consolidate the peace move.
