Gunmen kill four in Aluu

No less than four persons have been reportedly killed by unknown gunmen in Aluu community, Ikwerre Local Government Area.

This is coming four days after two young men were beheaded in Choba, a community that shares boundary with Aluu in a cult-related supremacy battle.

Eyewitnesses told theportcitynews that the gunmen, who are suspected to be members of a cult group, invaded a beer palor in Omuada village in Aluu on Friday night and opened fire on their targets.

The hit was directed at a group of boys drinking on a table, alongside a female.

The sources said that the gunmen struck shortly after he left the scene to receive a call.

He identified three of the victims as members of a rival cult.

Spokesman of the Rivers State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni is yet to react to the development as at press time.
