NSF: Team Rivers beat Edo State female basketball team

Team Rivers female basketball team defeated their counterparts from Edo State by 64-17 in their first game at the south-south zonal eliminations of the National Sports Festival in Asaba.

Team Rivers showed their superiority throughout the game by outscoring their opponent.

However, the Coach of Edo State team Philip Gojo congratulated Team Rivers for their victory.

”By the grace of God we are growing and we still have a bright future ahead of them. Like the Rivers State we just played, they have players from the D’Tigress (Senior Women National Team)he said.

”It’s a good learning experience for my team, we believe in our next match we will correct our mistakes” he noted.
Philip Gojo also said that the Edo team will be better prepared for the next National Sports Festival.
