Operatives of the Puff Ader tactical unit in Rivers State have re-arrested two teenage boys of the same parent who are 16 and 19 years old, for allegedly defiling twins ( boy and girl) aged two years in PortHarcourt.
The mother of the alleged defiled twin Mrs Achinihu Clement, who disclosed this to our correspondent insisted she wants justice to be served on the matter.
Narrating how she discovered the alleged defilement of her two-year-old twins, Mrs Clement said she wanted to dress her son up on 10 January 2022, and noticed her son was unable to sit on the bed. Upon interrogation, her son told her in his babyish that her male inlaw aged 16 years who resides with them tampered with his anus.
According to her, she immediately took the children to the hospital after checking her son, it was also discovered in the hospital that the hymen of her two-year-old female daughter has been completely ruptured.
Mrs Clement further said she reported the case to Puff Ader tactical unit and the suspects were arrested but later released.
In the meantime time, the Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign has lauded the Commissioner of Police, CP Eboka Friday for ensuring the re-arrest of the suspects.
A lawyer with the human rights advocacy group, Charles Edwin, however, called for a thorough investigation into the incident to determine the culpability of the suspects, while stressing that if the suspects are found culpable they should be made to face the law.
