Paul Okoye, the popular Nigerian singer known as Rudeboy and one-half of the former musical duo PSquare, has taken to social media to accuse his twin brother, Peter Okoye, aka Mr P, of song theft.
This accusation follows the release of Mr P’s latest song, Winning, which has sparked controversy and tension between the siblings following their third breakup earlier this year.
In a recent Instagram post, Rudeboy claimed that he was the original creator of Winning, alleging that he both wrote and sang the song with a certain producer before it was passed to Mr P.
According to Rudeboy, his brother recorded the track “word for word” using the same producer he had worked with, implying a direct replication of his work without permission.

Rudeboy expressed frustration over the situation, stating that he had previously submitted six songs to their mutual management. He questioned why one of these tracks, meant for his own album release next June, was instead re-sung by his brother.
On his Instagram page, Rudeboy voiced his discontent: “Song title: Winning. Written and sang by Rudeboy. Produced by same producer. Now how come? Now am I supposed to release another version? Mr Producer, your case is for another day.”
Continuing his response on Instagram, Rudeboy warned that he would release the original version of any songs that appeared to have been copied. “The days of manipulation are over!! And to the management, make I hear any song wey na only me sing, I go release the original version. Oloriburuku! Music is not that hard!”
