Rivers: Bille son writes an open letter to Gov Fubara

His Excellency Amaopusenibo Sir Siminalayi Fubara, Executive Governor of Rivers State

… Connecting Bille to Port Harcourt through Abonnema/Obonoma Road, Distance: 28km only.

A HUMBLE APPEAL

Dear Governor Fubara,

Iam a son of the ancient Bille Kingdom, Ward 16, and a proud member of the Ijaw nation. I write to express my warmest congratulations on your one-year anniversary in office. Your visionary leadership and transformative projects have been a beacon of hope for our dear state. I also want to express my deepest gratitude for your commitment to development and connectivity, as evident in the Trans-Kalabari Road project.

Bille Kingdom, as one of the ancient Kingdoms and clans in the Ijaw nation, is the landlord to two flowstations – Bille 1 and Awoba – and has a rich cultural heritage and contributes to the State’s economic development. Inspired by your commitment to development and road connectivity, I humbly propose a road connection to Bille Town through the Obonoma/Abonoma Road, in continuation of the Emohua-Kalabari Road that you commissioned a few days ago.

This connection is crucial as Obonoma to Bille is roughly 28kms. Linking Bille with road will open up the State to the vast potentials of the Blue Economy, given that Bille is approximately 2km away from the ocean.

I passionately appeal to you, Your Excellency, to consider this my request by connecting Bille Kingdom through road to Port Harcourt City, a priority. I believe that this project will have a profound impact on the lives of our people and further cement your legacy as a champion of development and progress.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your positive response and the continued growth of our beloved Rivers State.

Sincerely,
