PCRC weeps over death of ex Rivers PPRO, Nnamdi Omoni

The shocking death of former Police Public Relations Officer, Rivers State Command, SP Nnamdi Omoni has thrown some members of the state Police Community Relations Committee members into weeping.

The former state police spokesman who became the Divisional Police Officer of Elimgbu police station in Obio/Akpor LGA after he was promoted to the rank of police superintendent was said to have died in Port Harcourt, the state capital on Tuesday.

Reacting to the demise of Omoni, the state chairman of PCRC, Casca Ogosu told our correspondent that “the sudden death of the late police officer had brought tears in the eyes of PCRC members.

“I and my fellow comrades in the PCRC have been weeping since the shocking news of Omoni’s death came to us.

“Omoni was very helpful to PCRC and we morn his passing with pains and tears in our eyes.

“We pray God to grant him eternal rest.”

The state PCRC chairman also urged police officers and men to always draw closer to God and live upright, adding that the earth is a temporal place for everyone.
