35-executive committee members of the Non-Indigene Simplified Movement for Sim Eleme (NISMS) have been inaugurated in Eleme Local Government Area, Rivers State.
According to the release today, the Chief Press Secretary, Udeme Obot, said the aim of the inauguration was to mobilise the entire Eleme community to align with Governor Siminalayi Fubara ‘s initiatives.
During the integration, Comrade Iyke Agim, the leader of NISMS, highlighted the group objectives and pledged support for Governor Fubara.
He stressed the state governor’s leadership style, stating that “Eleme LGA has witnessed unprecedented transformation under his leadership.”

“We’re eager to tap into the opportunities arising from these developments,” the leader of NISMS noted.
Meanwhile, the leader urged the Caretaker Committee Chairman, Chief Brain Gokpa, to contest for the forthcoming election as he pledged his loyalty to him. He addressed that the CTC boss has the interest of Eleme LGA in heart.
The statement read in part, “Your leadership has attracted the governor’s attention, bringing developmental projects to our area,” Agim said. “We urge you to contest the forthcoming local government elections because your presence as executive chairman will even attract more development to the Eleme Local Government Area.”
Reacting to this, chief Gokpa advised the newly inaugurated members to remain committed, as he noted that “Governor Fubara rewards hard work and diligence.”
Attendees present were the various traditional rulers of major ethnic groups in the LGA, including Mohammed Dikko, the council’s supervisor for agriculture, who was present as well.
