Renowned content creator Olamide Ogunleye, popularly known as Oluwadolarz, recently took to social media to share a disturbing experience with an unnamed figure in the entertainment industry. The Nigerian comedian and singer revealed on Instagram that a supposedly influential entertainer requested a sexual favor in exchange for promoting his music.
According to Oluwadolarz, the entertainer explicitly stated that he would only endorse his music and help him top the charts if he agreed to engage in a sexual act. The comedian shared the encounter on his Instagram story, expressing his disgust and disappointment.
“You will promote my songs. Endorse my music. Help me the top chart. But make I first bend over make you enter my Yansh. E.n.k.r sir,” Oluwadolarz wrote.
This shocking revelation has sparked widespread outrage and concern within the entertainment industry, highlighting the darker side of show business.
While primarily known for his comedic skills, Oluwadolarz has also ventured into music, creating versions of trending songs and collaborating with various artistes. In 2018, he remade Olamide Badoo’s hit song “Science Student,” which sparked controversy.
In an interview with Sunday Scoop, Oluwadolarz addressed the controversy surrounding his remake of “Science Student.” He clarified that his intention was never to upset Olamide, but rather to showcase his creativity.
“When I did a version of Wo, Olamide shared it on his Instagram page; so, I felt he would like this too. Before I was told that he was unhappy with my interpretation, I had the feelings too. But when I met him at a video shoot, he didn’t say a word about it. He greeted me and said it was nice to meet me,” the comedian said.
He added that he believed Olamide’s dissatisfaction stemmed from the fact that his video exposed certain things hidden in the song. Oluwadolarz acknowledged the anti-drug message in Olamide’s original video, noting, “If you watch his video well, you will see that he was fighting against the use of drugs.”
Interestingly, Olamide had previously shared Oluwadolarz’s version of his song “Wo” on Instagram. However, he didn’t share the “Science Student” remake.
In an August 4, 2024 publication, it was reported that Oluwadolarz’s humble approach to his career. Despite his success, he considers himself an up-and-coming talent.
“I don’t think I’ve arrived. I still see myself as an up-and-coming artiste. I’m still struggling to get to where I want to be,” Oluwadolarz stated.
Earlier this year, Oluwadolarz collaborated with Smile T on the music single “Fuchor Me.” This partnership demonstrates his continued passion for music and creativity.
