The family of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba popularly known as Mohbad has appealed to organizations and individuals planning to celebrate the first anniversary of his death to cancel their plans.
This was stated in a statement signed by Monisola Odumosu, a member of the Family Law Team.
The family expressed their desire to mourn their son in peace, without serious problems affecting his emotions. He said: The Aloba family has learned that some organizations are planning to celebrate the first anniversary of the death of our son and musician, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (Mohbad). These plans have not been finalized. Thus, the family wants the public to join them in prayer on their birthday instead of organizing an elaborate event that will affect their emotions.

The family also expressed concern that some people and organizations might consider using Mohbad’s memory for commercial purposes. This is because they asked for the family’s approval before proceeding with such a plan. It is no longer news that some people and organizations have planned to organize events to commemorate the death of the late singer.

“We urge these individuals and organizations to seek the appropriate approval from the family before implementing such plans. The Aloba family does not want the goodwill of their illustrious son to be used for commercial purposes,”

The family has appealed to individuals and organizations to respect their wishes and join them in prayer in this difficult time.
