An ongoing gun battle between two rival cult groups in Ochigba Community, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers state, has claimed at least three lives Monday morning.
A native of a village close to Ochigba community who pleaded anonymity told TPCN reporter on phone that trouble started when Icelander cult group invaded the village early this morning in search of the leader of Greenlander cult group.
Our source revealed that the Greenlanders engaged the Icelanders in a gun battle resulting in the death of three persons
The source added that women who went to farm this early morning ran back to their homes because of the deafening sounds of gunshots.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Rivers state, Nnamdi Omoni is yet to respond to this incident as the time of filing this report.
It will be recalled that so many lives have been lost in cult wars that engulfed Obi/Akpor, Emohua, Khana, PortHarcourt and Eleme local Government areas of the state in the last one week.
