The Nigeria Airforce has reiterated it’s commitment to the welfare of its men and officer’s, as a way of boosting the morale and confidence of its personnel.
Air Officer Commanding (AOC), Tactical Command, Air Vice Marshall Isiaka Amoo stated this during the inauguration of some projects at the 115 special operations Group, Port Harcourt.
Air Vice Marshall Amoo said this is in line with the vision of the chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Abubarka, towards repositioning the Airforce for more professional, responsive and operational-ready force.
Speaking during the inauguration of the projects, Air Vice Marshall Amoo commended the 115 special operation group for developing human capacity, welfare and sporting activities within its base.
Earlier in his remark, the commander of 115 special operation group, Air Commodore Elijah Ebiowe said the importance of sporting facilities are overemphasized, as it engages youths in the base towards reducing crime rates.
Commodore Ebiowe, who highlighted some of the projects inaugurated, advised officers to make use of the facilities.
Some of the projects inaugurated include the renovated control tower, sporting facilities like the golf course, basketball and volleyball courts, gatehouse of NAF reference hospital amongst others.
