Rivers United was held to a goalless draw by struggling Ifeanyi Ubah United of Nnewi in matchday 15 of the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL.
Rivers United hanging in the seventh position on the NPFL table is yet to secure an away victory since Governor Nyesom Wike promised them a 10 million naira reward for any away victory.
The team has been struggling on the road since their exit from the CAF Confederation Cup Competition after Enyimba FC dumped them out of the tournament.
Speaking after the game at Nnewi, the Technical Adviser of Rivers United Stanley Eguma expressed satisfaction securing a point from the game.
He said the team will now focus on their next game at home to Mountain of Fire and Miracles FC MFM on Wednesday at the Adokiye Amaesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.
Eguma, however, assured Rivers United fans that the team is still committed to securing a continental ticket at the end of the season.
