CAF appoints Ivorian officials for Rivers United and Wydad AC play-off game in Port Harcourt

The Confederation of African Football CAF has appointed Ivorian match officials for the first leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League game between Rivers United fc of Port Harcourt and Wydad AC of Morocco.

CAF in a statement appointed Ibrahim Kalilou Traore as the Centre Referee while his countrymen Adou Hermann Desiré N’goh and Nouho Ouattara will serve as the First and Second Assistants, respectively.

Bienvenu Sinko, an Ivorian as well, will be the Fourth Official while Langtombong Tombong Tamba, a Gambian national, will be the Match Commissioner.

Meanwhile, Ozi Salami Abdulrahim Onimisi will be the Covid-19 Officer as designated by CAF.

The Pride of Rivers will play host to the Moroccan outfit, at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Sunday 9th October 2022.

The match will kick off at 4pm Nigerian time.

After the Sunday first leg, the second will take place a week later in Morocco with the aggregate winner advancing to the Group Stage of the CAF Champions League.

The other team will then earn a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup, one step away from the Group stages.
