Nyesom Wike, the Rivers State Governor, has said that the minister of Transportation wants to remove him from office in order to install a puppet.
Wike who was reacting to the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to suspend the results of the election, also praised INEC for suspending the results following eruption of violence and kidnapping of INEC staff.
Wike in series of tweets described the results collation process as a sham.
They have began a war
They want to install a puppet
But NO, it cant stand… the will of the people of Rivers State can not be subverted, we are not cowards. I call on INEC to ensure that the will of the people prevail to ensure peace.— Governor Wike (@NyesomWlKE) March 10, 2019
We also thank the United Kingdom @UKinNigeria for raising their voice against the blood sucking APC in connivance with the Nigerian military who were out to install an unpopular puppet at all cost. We are here and we will resist every attempt they make.

Thank you Rivers people for standing your grounds against tyranny, a man willing to kill and maim his own people in the quest for power is not a man of the people. We as a people have resisted the Army, SARS and INEC. Kudos to @inecnigeria for suspending this sham at last.
