Presidential election: Big politicians lost their polling units, rewrote results at collation centres – Abe

Senator Magnus Abe, the Social Democratic Party, SDP gubernatorial candidate in Rivers State says some big politicians in the state lost their polling units, wards and local governments to Labour Party but rewrote the results at the collation centre.

He said Rivers people knew how they voted on February 25th presidential and National Assembly Elections and would do the same on Saturday, March 11th for the gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections.

The All Progressives Congress, APC was declared the winner of the presidential election in the state, a declaration which contravenes the results from the polling units showing a high preference for the Labour Party.

But speaking on Channels television on Sunday, Mr Abe said results were massively rewritten at the collation centres.

He said “Rivers people voted personalities that they wanted but big politicians rewrote results at collation centres.

“It was clear that most of those big politicians lost their polling units, lost their wards and local governments.

“What they did was to carry guns, snatch ballot boxes and go to the collation centres and rewrite results.

“So, Rivers people know that they know what they want and they showed it clearly that they are not interested in these big politicians.

“What we are saying is that on the 11th of March, Rivers people should come out and not only vote but the election should end at the polling units”
