The former state chapter Chairman of the Advanced People’s Democratic Alliance, Pastor Warigbani Ezekiel has disagreed with Governor Nyesom Wike’s performance claim, accusing the governor of impoverishing Rivers people.

Wike at a meeting in Benue State while declaring his intention to contest the 2023 presidential election had boasted, saying that he had performed impressively as governor.

Ezekiel who also contested the 2019 governorship election in the state told our correspondent that the governor’s performance claim is abysmal.

He said, “How can Wike claim to have performed in the state when his administration has failed to develop the people?

“Under Wike’s administration, the people of the state are dying in hunger,

“Politicians serving in his government can not preach politics to their people at home because they will be booed for not having anything to show for it.

“Building bridges without developing the people which is what Wike is doing can not be called performance.

“The state is littered with refuse everywhere, the cost of living is soaring and workers who are due for promotion are not being promoted.

“Retirees have not been paid their gratuity and the hatred and division in the state keep increasing because Wike is not leading the state with love.”
