Former Attorney General of Rivers State, Worgu Boms has reacted to reports that former lawmaker, Magnus Abe was never loyal to ex-governor and Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi.
Boms, who spoke during a rally organised by supporters of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Sen. Magnus Abe at the Port Harcourt Polytechnic, Rumuola, on Thursday, recalled that after Abe was shot in 2014, Amaechi had confessed that the bullet was meant for him.
He noted that Amaechi had ordered the then Commissioner for information, Ibim Seminitari to issue a press statement, declaring that Abe took the bullet that was meant for him (Amaechi).]
The APC chieftain stated that Abe was ready to lay his life for Amaechi because he believed in his capabilities.
Reacting to the rift in Rivers APC, Boms described the party as the biblical salt that was referred to by Jesus, which lost its taste.
Speaking further, he said that there is a fig tree in the party hindering it from contesting and winning any elective positions in the state.
He, however, noted that Rivers APC is ready to win the 2023 elections in the state with Abe as its candidate.
The ex-Attorney General maintained that Magnus Abs is most qualified to govern the state, urging residents to come out in mass and vote for him.
