Nigeria in dire need of credible leaders – Rivers LP candidate, Itubo

The governorship flagbearer of the Labour Party (LP) in Rivers State, Beatrice Itubo has called on Nigerians to vote out the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Itubo had won the party’s gubernatorial primary after polling 201 votes out of the 272 delegate votes to defeat a former member of the House of Representatives, Eneyi Braid, who polled 71 votes.

The guber candidate, who doubles as the chairman of the Rivers State council of the Nigerian Labour Congress, (NLC), said Nigeria is in dire need of credible leaders to pilot its affairs, adding that PDP and APC have failed Nigerians.

She maintained that the signature broom and umbrella of both parties were demonic signs that should be kicked out of the Nigerian political space.

Itubo who spoke during a town hall meeting with LP stakeholders at the weekend urged Nigerians to get their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) to participate in next year’s election.
