2023: I am determined to ensure that Nigeria does not sink – Akpabio declares

Minister of Niger Delta Affairs and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio on Wednesday, declared his intentions to join the 2023 Presidential race on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Akpabio, who made the declaration at the Ikot Ekpene township stadium, Akwa Ibom State, said if he emerges as president, his administration will maintain neutrality in its dealings with all tribes.

According to him, he believes in one indivisible Nigeria, which would one day overcome all of its challenges.

“This is not only a message of hope but a message of positive continuity. It is also a message that the Egyptians you see today you shall see no more.”

He said his presidency will bring restoration to the country, as he has done in the Ministry under his leadership.

Akpabio said under his watch, the commission has been relieved the burden of paying N300 million for rent of their office building because tit now has its own headquarters.

“300 roads have been commissioned by NDDC not because they had fresh funds but because contractors for fear of the outcome of the forensic audit, went back to complete the roads.

“I am determined to make sure that Nigeria does not sink,” he declared.
