Seven Police officers have been arrested in the Rajasthan area of India for gang-raping a woman inside Sardarshahar police station in Churu district.
The gang-raped woman, a 35-year-old Dalit was wrongfully confined in the station with her brother-in-law.
She also alleged that the cops tortured her brother-in-law to death on July 6 and raped her after picking them up in an alleged theft case.
A judicial inquiry has been ordered into the alleged custodial killing and gang-rape, Times of India reports.
The FIR was registered after the woman recorded her statement from the hospital on Saturday.
She alleged persistent custodial beatings — leading to severe injuries on her eyes, arms and neck — and gang rape by the cops inside the police station.
Churu SP Rajendra Kumar was removed while DSP Bhanwar Lal was suspended and put under a vigilance probe on Friday.
