Rivers State Government has denied reports that the Chief Security Officer to Governor Nyesom Wike, Promise Nwosu has been sacked.
The state government did not, however, provide clarifications on the corruption allegation against Mr Nwosu by top members of Wike’s government.
Theportcitynews reportedly an exclusive revelation of how Wike’s CSO undermined state security and stole N100 Million monthly from security vote.
But the government asked the public to disregard reports claiming Wike sacked his Chief Security Officer, CSO, Mr Promise Wosu, over alleged fraud.

Simeon Nwakaudu, Governor Wike’s special assistant on media described the reports as “False report.”
“The Rivers State Government has debunked a false report published by some online media claiming that Mr Promise Wosu, the Chief Security Officer to the Rivers State Governor has been sacked.
“The report in its entirety is false and should be disregarded by the public,” he wrote.
