No fewer than three shops have been invaded by thieves in Mbiama Community in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The thieves who emptied the three shops in one week were said to have opened the shops with master key.

Speaking with our country, one of the victims who identified herself as Esther Onisomise said, “I usually close my botique at 8pm.

“On Tuesday, I came in the morning to resume sales as usual, only for me to meet my shop empty.

“All the cloths in my botique have been stolen and no sign of breaking and entering. I just don’t know what to do. I am confused.”

The victim also confirmed to our correspondent that the matter has been reported to the Ahoada West Police Division.

Another source who witnessed the incident, joy Asume told our correspondent that the thieves came with pick up van which they parked beside the botique.

“I saw them but I didn’t know they were thieves. I also did not hear the sound of door or window breaking.

“It was when the owner of the botique alerted us the next morning, I then realized that those who parked that pick up van at her shop on Monday night were thieves, “the source said.”

When contacted, a youth leader of the area, McLean Odean told our correspondent that the youths of Ahoada West had met with security agencies to end such stealing in the area.

The youth leader further estimated the goods stolen from the three shops to have worth N3million.
