The O.B Lulu-Briggs foundation on Saturday, set up a 50 million naira fund for the creation of Geriatrics unit at the Rivers State University.
The Endowment fund was launched at the lecture in commoreation of the 91st posthumous birthday of the late philanthropist.
In a speech, wife of late High Chief O.B Lulu-Briggs, Dr. Sienye O.B Lulu-Briggs, stated that the 50million naira Endowment fund being launched will fund the creation of a Geriatrics Unit at the Rivers State College of Medical Sciences.
The fund will also provide for the training of Geriatricians to serve at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.
She trailed the fund as an endowment by the O. B. Lulu-Briggs Foundation in keeping with the legacies of its Grand Benefactor, High Chief (Dr.) O. B. Lulu-Briggs.
Personalities at the occassion include the deputy governor of Rivers state, Dr. Ipalibo Harry; HRH majesty, Dr Dandison Douglas, Chairman of Rivers state council of traditional rulers; Dr. Sienye O.B Lulu-briggs, Chairman of O.B Lulu-Briggs Foundation, among others.
