…Holds free seminar for ministers in Port Harcourt

Worried by the incessant cases of premature, untimely or sudden deaths in Rivers State and Nigeria at large, a non-governmental health organization based in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Capital, Doctors Save A Life Foundation, has embarked on a bold but challenging move to stop the menace.
The move, tagged Operation Prevent Preventable Deaths, which has already kicked off, will see the Foundation conducting free health seminars, training paramedics, partnering with other NGOs, corporate bodies and churches to educate the people on how to handle emergency situations, acquiring land and air ambulances for emergency interventions, among other plans.
President of the Doctors Save A Life Foundation, Dr Richard Okoye, disclosed this today during a free health seminar tagged Rivers State Ministers and Spouses Health Seminar, with the theme: Preventing Preventable Deaths, held in conjunction with Arm of Hope Foundation at the Abundant Life Evangel Mission, Psychiatric Road, Port Harcourt.
According to Dr Okoye, who blamed most deaths on ignorance and failure to seek proper medical attention in time, the Foundation is also working hard to ensure that every Nigerian gets an ECG by the year 2025, as part of the plan to eradicate or drastically reduce preventable deaths in the country.
He also announced that he has developed super artificial intelligence that will solve most people’s health problems through diagnosis, prescription of appropriate drugs and timely signals on when to take the drugs, adding that he would make the device available to every Nigerian free of charge.
“We shall give it to Nigerians free of charge as part of our own contribution to their good health. Other African countries will pay 50 per cent of the price while Europe and America will pay the full price,” he said, assuring that the device would soon become a reality for Nigeria, Africa and the whole world.
Dr Okoye further revealed that the artificial intelligence will have the capacity to reveal if a drug is fake or original by detecting everything about such a drug, from the time and place it was manufactured to the various channels it passed through to get into the hand of the consumer.
He said the resolve to expose and eradicate fake drugs is aimed to save the life of Nigerians, noting that he decided to embark on that move after he went to China some time ago and discovered where they were manufacturing fake drugs that would be sent to Nigeria.
He charged ministers of the gospel and all Christians to always bear in mind that their bodies are the only assets they have hence the need to take care of them.
“When one asks ‘who are you?,’what comes to your mind might be your houses, the number of cars you have, your millions in the bank, your degrees or position or titles. But none of these material things belongs to you. The bible says that ‘dust thou art and dust shalt thou return.’ The only asset you have is your body. Where your health stops is where your progress stops,” Dr Okoye noted.
Regretting that the church has been relegated to the background in the scheme of things in Nigeria because of the attitude of most men of God, Dr Richard Okoye advised the ministers to start investing in their members, regretting that today the church can no longer boast of scientists and inventors among its fold.
Earlier, the General Overseer of Abundant Life Evangel Mission and Founder of Arm of Hope Foundation under whose auspices the seminar was organised, Apostle Eugene Ogu, welcomed the ministers and their spouses to the seminar, which he said was a fallout of the excellent medical care he received when he got ill and went to the Doctors Save A Life Foundation for treatment.
He said while he was there, he heard that about three or more pastors had died, a development that got him thinking and given the good medical attention he received from the Foundation, he decided to initiate a partnership between his Foundation –Arm of Hope- and the Doctors Save A Life Foundation, and also appealed to Dr Richard Okoye to come and talk to ministers in the state on health issues.
During the free seminar, which was conducted in conjunction with Arm of Hope Foundation, there was free blood pressure testing, sugar level testing, free registration, among others.
During the seminar also, Dr Richard Okoye offered to treat those with hernia and high blood pressures free of charge.
