The Director General of the Nigerian Maritime and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Dakuku Peterside, has said that the Rivers State Governor, Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike, is Mr. Projects in a negative sense.
Dakuku made this known during a radio program, the Nigerian Info political program, Hard Fact on Wednesday.
Mr. Peterside said that the effects of projects in Rivers State has not helped the common Rivers people in a positive way and accused the governor of neglecting the Rivers people.
He said that Rivers State currently has the highest rate of youth unemployment and highest misery rate in the country.
Dakuku also chided the Governor Wike’s plan to set up a neighborhood watch to put to an end the mounting insecurity in the state saying that the state government has so far taken wrong steps to address the killings and insecurity in the state and attract foreign investors to the State.
He also advised that a state of emergency should have been declared as a way to curtail the lingering sooth problem but however, noted that the pollution is also a result of illegal refineries which are the result of poor job creation.
