The newly sand filled section of the LNG road along Eastern Bye-pass, Port Harcourt, has brought more commendations to Governor Nyesom Wike by the Christian community in Rivers State.
The newly sand filled area is still generating reactions mainly because the purpose for which it was sand filled by the state government is yet to be made public.
The commendations came after the governor approved the area for the hosting of Rev. Reinhard Bonnke’s mega crusade organised by Christ For All Nations slated for November 8-10 this year.
As the successor of Rev Bonnke, Evangelist Daniel Kolenda is expected to arrive the city of Port Harcourt Wednesday this week, just as a pre-arrival press conference was held in Port Harcourt to sensitize the populace on the need to attend the mega crusade.
In his remarks, a co-chairman of the crusade central committee, Apostle Zilly Aggrey said the hosting of the crusade at this time was a prophetic opportunity aimed at liberating millions of people in the state through the power of God in Evangelist Kolenda.
Apostle Aggrey said, “we of the Christian community for some years now have been looking for a place in the state that will be central for the hosting of a mega crusade such as this forthcoming one and we couldn’t see such a place in the state.
“Miraculously, Governor Wike embarked on sand filling a section of the Eastern Bye-pass which is befitting for the hosting of this mega crusade and has equally approved it for the crusade.
“I believe that this crusade is going to impart positively on the state with divine blessings that will transform the state and its citizens.
“We call on everyone to see the attending of the crusade as an opportunity that will change one’s destiny for life”.
On his part, the Africa Coordinator of the Christ For All Nations, Rev John Darku said the crusade will to a large extent multiply the church of Jesus Christ in the state.
“Over one million people are expected to be in attendance and I believe a lot of souls will be won into the kingdom of God.”
