Air Force jet disperses protesters with sachet water in Port Harcourt

It was a comedy show on Tuesday as air force jets dispersed protesters with sachet water in Port Harcourt.

Protesting members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and their adopted sister African Action Congress, AAC, were on the streets protesting the alleged manipulation of the Rivers gubernatorial election.

The protesters were also calling for the resident electoral commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Obo Effanga, to be redeployed.

INEC is currently collating results for the suspended Rivers elections.

They marched from air force base towards the GRA of the town.

But the air force intervened with their jet flying at low altitude and instead of throwing bullets and grenades, they threw sachet waters at the protesters to disperse them.

The approach employed by the airmen sent onlookers into a frenzy.

Some of the witnesses who spoke to theportcitynews said that it was too funny to be true as they never expected it.

A protester who identified herself as Ibinabo told TPCN correspondent that she never dreamt that it will happen in her lifetime.

According to her “Air Force jet threw only bullets and bombs, but today, it threw sachet water. It was fun”
