The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Tonye Cole has presented airtel MiFi devices to nine youths in the state.
The empowerment comes ahead of campaign season for the 2023 general elections in the state.
The devices were presented during the inauguration of the TonyeCole Media Centre, TCMC at the Rivers APC Secretariat, Port Harcourt, the state capital.
Director General of the group, Dae Steven Deegbara said the inaugural meeting of the TCMC volunteers is to galvanize a decent and strategic media engagement team that will effectively communicate Cole’s and Dr. Innocent Barikor’s Governorship agenda to the Rivers people.
Among other issues, it was an interactive session where members had the opportunity to suggest ideas on how to develop content and use them to influence the media space and the voting audience to the advantage of the party and candidate in 2023.
Dr. Sylvia Aneke Cole, the wife of the gubernatorial candidate, who is also the Proprietress of TCMC thanked the team for the commitment that they have shown ever since the creation of the group.
She also gifted Nine members of the group with free Airtel Data Mifi’s which according to her, is the first batch in a series.
