A lady said to be in her late 20’s has been arrested by operatives of the Nigerian Police Force for allegedly killing her boyfriend.
She is also alleged to have escaped with his Mercedes Benz 4matic Vehicle and its original ownership papers.
The incident, it was gathered, occured in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State capital.
Police sources said the suspect identified as Lauretta, who hails from Ogoja in Cross River state, also stole N7 million naira from the deceased.
According to the sources, the deceased identified as Chukwuemeka is said to be the only son of the parents and was an importer.
His friends raised an alarm after efforts to reach him to come clear his consignments failed. He was found soaked with blood inside his bedroom, it was gathered.
The police source said officers used the vehicle tracker, and Lauretta, his girlfriend was traced to a nearby hotel.
She was subsequently arrested and is currently detained at the B division Police station in the Ewet Housing Estate area of the state while further investigation is ongoing into the matter.
