Popular Nigerian actress, Uche Elendu has taken to her Instagram handle to lament her ordeal in the hands of looters who have taken over some areas of the #EndSARS protests in Lagos state.

Her beauty shop, Killer Curves Beauty store located at Penny mall, providence street Lekki, phase 1 has been raided by thugs and everything in the store was made away with.

In her words ” I was still trying to get myself to recover from the heartbreak of innocent lives lost yesterday, now my hard work and investment is gone… Looted by the same people we are fighting for. Oh Lord, strengthen me. They took all my years of struggle and hard work from me.”

Recall that in the past few weeks, Nigerian youths had been on the streets of Nigeria demanding the authorities to put an end to police brutality and an indefinite end to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad’s (SARS) extra judicial activities which include but not limited to killing of innocent citizens, extortion from citizens, extra-judicial killings, kidnapping amongst others.

Although, the authorities agreed to their demands, Nigerians refused to leave the streets until they see evidential reasons that their demands are being met. This is as a result of the lost in trust on the area of the government as in the last four years, they have dissolved, disbanded and disarmed the very same unit for them to regroup and continue without accountability.

On Tuesday night, however, the Federal government sent in the military to shoot at peaceful protesters. This happened after they put out the lights, and disabled the CCTV cameras around 8pm. This has led to tugs taking over the protest and are committing various crimes.
