Breaking: Amaehule emerges speaker of Rivers Assembly

Martins Amaehule has been elected as the speaker of the 10th Rivers State House Assembly.

Dumle Maol was also elected as the Deputy Speaker.

Amaewhule who represents Obio-Akpor constituency 1 was the Majority Leader of the 9th assembly.

He was first elected in 2011, and in a March 2016 election rerun was reelected to the Assembly.

The 10th Assembly was proclaimed by Governor Siminialayi Fubara.
