A lawyer, Azubuike Ihemeje has written an open letter to the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba over the activities of Chinedu Marksman Ijomah, the founder of the doomed Chinmark investment scheme.
The lawyer in the letter said Mr Ijomah has remained at large despite fleecing the public of over N40 billion.
According to him, Mr Ijomah and his numerous cohorts of online Influencers, deliberately deceived and misled thousands of people to part with billions of Naira as investments in some none existing Real Estates.
He added that their actions clearly indict them for frauds.

An OPEN Letter to the Inspector General of Police.
Greetings to you sir!
This is not an expression of frustration or a lack of confidence in your able, incorruptible leadership of the police; nor a sign of resignation that I cannot reach you or all the other Heads of your management teams personally in respect to this matter.
However, it has become absolutely requisite to do this publicly,
because of the enormous public outrage this matter has generated, and the overall negative implications it will have on your image, as well as the already battered image of the Police Force in general.
I am dropping this here for public records, that I indeed cried out to all and sundry, and for posterity to judge all us.
A certain gang of criminals operated under the name of Chinmark group, fleeced billions from unsuspecting members of the public, ranging close to 40 Billion Naira. This particular group of scammers started on Facebook, and advertised all their falsehoods online; actions which ordinarily projects them as criminally culpable under the relevant criminal laws under Cyber Crime.
Chinmark and his numerous cohorts of online Influencers, deliberately deceived and misled thousands of people to part with billions of Naira as investments in some none existing Real Estates. This clearly indicts them for frauds.
Now, public petition has been filed and approved against them. The case file is now assigned to the FCID (The Intelligence Unit) ably headed by another no-nonsense, incorrigible AIG, Habu Sani.
However sir, the Suspects, particularly their kingpin, known as Chinedu Marksman, has been boasting that they are too connected to the highest echelons of the Nigeria Police Force. He declared that he has since settled all the “top men”, and that nothing will happen; as they have already activated their outreach to kill, frustrate, obstruct and hamstrung every criminal investigation in this case, and escape criminal justice.
Also, they have since conquered the CP of Enugu State, who even provides the necessary cover and protection for them to perpetuate their nefarious acts.
Sir, only yesterday, some Facebook users inundated the sensibility of the public, as he boasted of how the main Suspect of this case, was released within very few hours at the Enugu Police Command.
You know the huge negative impact, disrepute and ridicule this, if true, would create on the image of the Police, before the public. Kindly take notice that suspects have already adopted several criminal antics of instituting some civil suits for insolvency.
Sir, that should NEVER have anything to do with criminal justice of this matter, please! For their crimes already committed, are distinctly separate under our criminal jurisprudence and should be treated as that.
Finally sir, kindly use this as a litmus test, to demonstrate to the public once again, that you remain a no-nonsense, courageously incorruptible Inspector General of Police.
