Florence Uwaeme

Samuel Ajibola, popularly known as Spiff in the popular Nigerian television series, ‘The Johnsons’ has announced his intentions to quit appearing on the television series.

Samuel, who has been on the show for over ten years has been entertaining viewers and lovers of the show by depicting a comic character, Spiff who is loved by fans of the show.

According to the video he shared on his Instagram handle, he was grateful for the opportunity to have been on the show this long and is most grateful to Multi-Choice, fans of the series and all that are concerned.

He however made it clear that his leaving the show does not in any way mean that he is quitting acting but that he is making out time to fulfil other purposes and indulge in other things.

He said “…for about ten years now, I’ve dedicated my life and creativity to serving the Spiff character on the Johnsons’ series which undoubtedly for me, has fulfilled its purpose in bringing entertainment, happiness and joy to the African Continent.

“Well, as we all know, nothing lasts forever and whatever has a beginning must surely have an ending. And as tough as this decision has been, the time has finally come for me to move on to other purposes, assignments and new challenges… I will like to thank the producers of the show for allowing me to showcase one of my limitless creative talents.

“My loyalty still lies with Multi-Choice. What this means generally is that I’ve not quit acting, it only means that I’m taking more time to fulfil other purposes and do other things. Thank you.”
