Family members and friends of late Pastor Dare Adeboye, on Monday, trooped out to pay their last respects to the deceased.
Service of songs and tributes held in his honour at the RCCG House of Favour Parish, Ogun State with a number of dignitaries in attendance.
Widow of the deceased, Temioluwa Adeboye, in her tribute, described her husband as a wonderful person, adding that he lived a fulfilled life.
“Pastor Dare, my husband was a wonderful person. He was amazing in every sense of the way. I do not mourn him at all, I weep because he left me. He slept, he did not die and I know, I am sure, because on the Resurrection morning, he will rise again and we will see him in glory.
“I am sure because he was saved. I am sure because he believed in Christ. His salvation was sure, it was certain. He said, “if I die today, I know I am fulfilled. I’ve done what the Lord has asked me to do.
“He was not afraid of death. He was not afraid. It is not a matter of how short, it is not a matter of time, but how well and He lived well.
“He lived a good life, He lived to the glory of God. He lived, he served God. His life was dedicated to Christ and that is why I am sure that he is in Heaven.” She said.
The younger brother of the deceased, Leke Adeboye, also described him as a man of standard, while adding that he lived a life worthy of emulation.
The vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, in his tribute, eulogized Dare, stating that he was a man who understood the time and urgency of reaching to the youths.
He further described him as a man who demonstrated his love for God.
Pastor Dare died last Tuesday in his sleep at Eket, Akwa Ibom state. He was the son of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer, RCCG.
