Wike redeems pledge to artists

Rivers State Government has redeemed the pledge made to the artists who performed at Burna boy’s Homecoming event which held in Port Harcourt last Saturday, May 27.

This was confirmed in a press statement released today and signed by the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Mrs Tonye Briggs.

In the statement, she noted that the pledge of ten million naira made to each performing artiste by the Governor on the day of the event, has been duly redeemed and beneficiaries credited as instructed by him.

In her words, she wrote:

The accounts of the beneficiaries have been credited as directed by the Governor and as you know the Governor is a man of his words and has redeemed his pledge.
