The former chairman, Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAD) Sir Precious Baridoo says those criticizing governor Nyesom Wike for supporting the government of the people of Sokoto state with five hundred million naira over the inferno that engulfed its Central Market are doing so out of ignorance and bad politicking.

He said this in an interview with our correspondent in Port Harcourt.

Precious Baridoo who is also the commissioner in charge of services in the state UBE board, explained that other State Governors have stood by Rivers State and Rivers people when mile one market had similar challenge in recent past, pointing out that governor Wike donated that amount of money to inspire humanity and to identify with the people of Sokoto in a trying moment.

“Their governor visited Rivers state when other governors visited Rivers state when mile one market burnt, other people have been doing it, apart from that, countries give aid to other countries in trying times. America give aid to trying countries, so what he did is not bad. No one can totally solve its own problem, no!, the people should not overstretch these issue”

He noted that the criticism against the Governor’s gesture is unnecessary and bad politicking, capable of over hitting the polity. He, however, called for a change of heart.
