Breaking: Pirates hijack LNG ship off Port Harcourt

Pirates have hijacked a cargo ship off Port Harcourt.

The ship flagged LNG tanker LNG LAGOS II, (IMO 9692014), was hijacked on the Gulf of Guinea southwest of Port Harcourt at around 05:30 UTC on Friday.

It was not immediately clear the number of crew members in the ship.

Bulwark Intelligence, a marine security solution company said that heightened vigilance is advised for all vessels implementing full hardening along the mentioned water route.
