An influential member of President Buhari’s inner circle, Mallam Ismaila Isa Funtua is dead.
He died in Abuja while undergoing a routine medical check-up at the age of 78 years old.
He reportedly suffered a massive heart attack during the medical check-up.
Funtua, a businessman, was chairman of Bullet Construction, which built the Federal Secretariat in Abuja.
A former newspaper publisher, he remained committed to the print media and a defender of media and was life patron of Newspaper’s Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN).
