Wike sacks Sogules, orders arrest of HODs of Microfinance Agency

The managing director of Rivers State Microfinance Agency, Dr Ipalibo Sogules has been sacked by Governor Nyesom Wike for fraud.

Pastor Paulinus Nsirim, the Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communication in a press statement on Monday night said that also dismissed from the Agency for the same offence are the Head, SMEs, Mr Nimi Harry; Head( Finance and Accounts), Mr Ukele Okorji and the Internal Auditor, Mr. Sofiri Koko.

Nsirim said that other Heads of Departments of the Agency are to be arrested for further investigations.

Sogules, a Bakana-born banker, was unsuccessful in his quest to become the Chairman of Degema Local Government Area in the June 2018 Local Government Elections under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
