Opinion: That Bill Gates Vaccine

By Ken Agala

The problem of being a certified swimmer onboard a sinking vessel with so many nonswimmers is the risk of being drowned by the several nonswimmers who will latch unto you for rescue.

This thought pattern probably triggered strategic charity and venture philanthropy as global billionaires like John D Rockefeller began to think about not just the traditional charity of giving alms, but of recognizing certain problems across the globe and taking systematic steps in solving it.

Global Business leaders began to understand that, by solving a problem in any society across the globe, you are actually making the world a better place for everyone and most importantly their own lives and businesses. Thus a problem in any part of the world is a problem for all. A perfect example is the current pandemic which began in Wuhan and has spread as far as Argentina, the farthest point from Wuhan.

Thus, several donor and intervention agencies began to erupt globally and the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization came into existence.

The Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation ( GAVI) is a public-private global health partnership committed to increasing access to immunization in poor countries.

GAVI integrates together undeveloped countries and the donor governments, the World Health Organization(WHO), UNICEF, the World Bank, the entire pharmaceutical vaccine industry in both industrialized and developing countries, research and technical agencies, civil society and some of the worlds richest billionaires who are donors.

In other words, what GAVI does, in essence, is to identity or receive an application on health needs from developing nations, get funding from donor countries, donor agents and other sources, integrate with WHO and UNICEF for approved vaccines, negotiate and purchase from global vaccine producers like GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and Pfizer. Many at times, serious vaccine researchers are given grants to make their works faster and more efficient.

Some of her major donors to Gavi includes :

Al Ansari Exchange, Alwaleed Philanthropies, Audacious, Alliance Australia, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Brazil, Canada, The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (UK), China, China Merchants Charitable Foundation, Denmark, ELMA Vaccines and Immunisation Foundation, European Commission, France, Germany, Girl Effect, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed AlNahyan , Iceland, India, International Federation of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, LDS Charities, Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF), Luxembourg, Mastercard, The Netherlands, Norway Orange, Principality of Monaco, Reckitt Benckiser Group, Red Nose Day Fund, Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, South Africa, Spain, State of Qatar, Sultanate of Oman, Sweden, Switzerland, Unilever
The United Kingdom and the United States of America.

Recently the UK government pledged 2 billion pounds to GAVI geared towards the prevention of infectious disease while the social network company Tiki’s Tok gave $10 million.

GAVI has vaccinated over 500 million children since its inception 20 years ago and saved millions of lives.

Because The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation had already been involved in funding vaccines against Rotavirus, a virus that was killing 500,000 children annually, they quickly committed almost a billion dollars to the formation of GAVI and automatically became a strategic partner. Since then the Gates Foundation has donated almost 2 billion dollars to Gavi and Bill Gates have been reaching out to fellow billionaires who also donate including our own Aliko Dangote while Dr Ngozi Iweala seats on the board.

I think this is how the story of Bill Gates and vaccines comes into play.

Neither Bill Gates nor Gavi produce vaccines. They merely look out for WHO-approved vaccines and pays the manufacturers to make it available for poorer nations in collaboration with the receiving nation’s governments.

In 2003, five northern states, Kano, Zamfara, Bauchi, Niger, and Kaduna refused immunization for Polio, a disease that crippled children at birth and set back the global fight against polio.

The boycotts proved a huge setback for global polio eradication. The incidence in Nigeria jumped from 202 in 2002 to 1143 in 2006 and the virus spread across Africa and beyond. This boycott was as a result of a rumour, endorsed by high profile northern political and religious leaders, that the vaccine was an American conspiracy to spread HIV and infertility amongst Muslims by the United States. It took a year before the last of these states, Kano, finally backtracked, but lots of lives had been lost and many children were crippled by the disease.

That same rumor is spreading today even amongst educated people and the elites all over the world.

The fight against the Coronavirus will face its fiercest battle when a vaccine is found as millions have already vowed to reject it as Bill Gates vaccine of an antichrist who intends to insert microchips inside the body of people and control their minds.

Mr. Gates has geared his philanthropy towards public health and his Bill and Melinda Gates foundation is the second-highest funder of the WHO after the United States of America.

In funding researchers and scientists looking for cures and vaccines against the Coronavirus alone, the Gates Foundation has committed 250 million dollars.

Last month, Mr. Gates did a Q and A sessions on Reddit during which he predicted that people would need “some digital certificates to show who has recovered or been tested recently or when we have a vaccine who has received it. This is not new, as many countries won’t allow you into their country if you don’t have a yellow fever certificate. I’ve been vaccinated for yellow fever by entry port agents in an African country before. The only option they gave me was taking the vaccination and get a certificate ( yellow card) or go back to my country.

Shortly after, social-media posts appeared falsely claiming that Mr. Gates wanted to implant microchips in people, according to several.

For herd immunity to be achieved in fighting any virus, at least 90% of a country’s citizens must have immunity against the virus and this is why mandatory vaccination is approved in many countries.

The irony of the resistance to approved vaccines is that those who get struck by the virus, won’t even care whatsoever you administer to them at the treatment centers.
