$21, 000: This is what Pete Edochie did to son, Yul after he said he didn’t want to go to school again

Florence Uwaeme

Following the viral video of a Zambian dad scolding and hitting his son for failing an examination that he had spent $21, 000(twenty-one thousand US dollars) on, social media has been awash with comments and counter comments on the Father’s reaction.

Some people have called out the boy’s dad for abuse while other commenter have argued that the man was not hitting the boy enough according to his crime. They claimed that the boy’s father is being civil with the boy.

Some people have gone ahead to share their various experiences on how their parents corrected their foolish young aspirations with the rod.

One of such people is Nollywood’s actor, Yul Edochie. Yul, whose father is also a veteran actor in Nollywood shared how he had wanted to become an electrician instead of continuing his education.

He wrote “In JSS2, I told my father I didn’t want to go to school anymore, he should open electrical shop for me.
He said ok.

He Invited me to his room, locked the door & pulled out his belt.
He gave me a beating that reset my brain to factory setting.
Look at me today.
Thank you Dad!
