A philanthropist, Odum Blessy Cherish has donated some relief materials to flood victims of Isua JK2 community in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The philanthropist and founder of Media Queen Initiative, in an interview with our correspondent, said she was moved to touch the lives of the flood victims when she saw their sufferings on facebook.

She said: “I touched a lot of lives because I didn’t do it for a particular person but for the entire community.

“What necessitated my actions were the everyday outcries on facebook by the people of the community begging for help over the flood. Seeing their condition on social media and how the flood had ravaged their community, I was touched to show them love and kind gesture.

Narrating their ideal, a Human Rights Activist who hails from the community, Owolo Santos Owolo said their community had been submerged by flood for the past three months.
