Rivers State and a tale of two ministers

Emma Okah

Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike was the Minister of State for Education from 2011 till he resigned to contest the governorship election in Rivers State. In our parlance, this is seen as a junior Minister. At that time, Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi was the Governor of Rivers State. In a twist of fate, HE Nyesom Ezenwo Wike is now the Governor of Rivers State and Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is now the Transport Minister, a (Grade A) senior Minister.

This article is to show how much Gov. Wike brought home from Abuja when he was Minister. It is not a comparison with Rt Hon Amaechi because his tenure as Minister is still on course. Therefore no comparison can be fair at this time until he leaves the office.

WHAT DID NYESOM EZENWO WIKE ATTRACT TO RIVERS STATE AS MINISTER?
