King Arnold Foundation Kicks-off in Port Harcourt

King Arnold Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization officially kicked off its operations yesterday 30th November 2019 with a charity sit out event held at the Agip Club House, GRA PH.

The event titled #CELEBRATIONOFLIFECOSIAINTINTHEGRAVE was organized to officially raise funds to cater to sick children of indigent parents and guardians who can’t afford proper medical treatment for them.

The founder, Mrs Blessing Emeka Okorogba, said the foundation and the need to reach out to sick children, was borne out of her own personal experience years ago, involving her three-year-old son Arnold who was wrongly diagnosed and given wrong treatment which led him to go into a coma for months before his eventual passing on.

Mrs Blessing Okorogba further advised parents to always seek for medical treatment of their kids at hospitals with a qualified Paediatrician.

She said the foundation in the month of December will partake in her first outreach to the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, formerly known as BMSH to offset medical bills of some sick children in the children emergency ward, and also assist in providing medications for those with critical conditions.

The event witnessed donations from Hon Ojukaye Flag Amachree, Engr Pereowei Joses, Hon Kingsley Chinda and Mr Peter Ata.

Mrs Blessing Okorogba in her closing remarks urged the general public to key into the project, as a lot needs to be done to drastically reduce the rate of child mortality ravaging the country, caused by lack of access to good medical treatment due to poverty.
