The Supreme Court has adjourned indefinitely on the seven (7) appeals filed against the judgement delivered by the Appeal Court, Port Harcourt Division on 30th August, on the legal representation for the African Action Congress.

The ACC gubernatorial candidate, Awara Biokmabo, is pleading with the Apex Court to strike out the processes, setting aside the dismissal of the petition by the court of appeal.

Our correspondent gathered that when the panel led by Justice Mary Odilli came out to sit on the matter, they were confronted with a petition written by the AAC candidate AWARA BIOKPOMABO.

The Respondent had written a petition to the Chief Justice of Nigerian CJN, alleging that the panel constituted cannot sit because of the presiding Judge, Justice Mary Odili.

The Respondent claimed that Justice Mary Odilli had attended a Thanksgiving service organised by Governor Nyesom Wike in 2015 and 2019 and that she is also the wife of the owner of Pamo Medical University who has received five hundred million naira grant from the Governor.

The court adjourned the matter Sine Die pending when the Chief Justice of Nigeria will reconstitute another panel.

In an interview with our reporter, Tina Amanda, EMENIKE EBETE, Counsel to the Respondent AWARA BIOKPOMABO, said his client felt he will not get fair Justice from the appeal if Justice Mary Odilli presided over the matter.

Also Speaking, Counsel to Governor Nyesom Wike, DIKE UDENNA said the appeals filed by PDP, Governor Nyesom Wike, AWARA BIOKPOMABO, were not able to go on based on the petition filed by AWARA which they are not aware of.
