Port Harcourt prison Inmates accept Christ

Some inmates serving different jail terms and those awaiting trials inside the the Port Harcourt maximum Prisons, denounced crime and accepted to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Over twenty inmates in the prison were converted when members of the RCCG, province thirteen, Onne, visited the facility to donate toiletries and provisions to them as part of their corporate social responsibilities week.

Ibani Frank-Briggs, the Pastor of RCCG province thirteen Onne, urged the inmates not to give up their hopes of living a better life but put their trust in God while in the prison.

He appealed to the Prison authorities to review constantly cases of inmates who have waited so long awaiting trials.

Head of the Christian Social Responsibilities unit of the RCCG, Akintunde Olashubulini said the visit will encourage inmates to be better citizens when they are finally freed to the society, adding that the visit is continuous in other prisons in Rivers State.
