Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, the minister of transportation has decried the level of insecurity in Rivers State, saying that at least 8 persons are beheaded daily in the state.
The minister who was also a former governor of the state while speaking at Plus TV Africa’s one-on-one exclusive program, said that the insecurity in the state has taken another dimension.
He said: “In Rivers State now, literary up to eight (8) persons are beheaded every day”
Amaechi also decried the state unemployment rate in the state, saying that it has become alarming.
He quoted the National Bureau of statistics, saying Rivers state is number one in terms of unemployment.
“We may not have left it as bad as it is because, by the time we were there, we (Rivers state) were not number one in terms of unemployment in the country, but now we are number one, according to the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS”
Now you ask yourself, “How did we get this bad”?
“We are not the only state in the country, we have oil, so if our people are not the richest, we should be among those who can put food on their table”
“LNG is regretting being there because the security situation has gone too bad, all we have is propaganda”
